We’re All Millionaires

“We’re All Millionaires” is a group show of contemporary artworks that are to be sold for 1 Million Rupiah. The exhibition concept aims to poke fun at the cultural misconceptions of the term “millionaire”, and address the oddities of art economics and ownership status.

The Weak Does Not Always Lose
collage & varnish on paper
70 x 31 cm

“The weak does not always lose, is a message which it is a reverse of a logical or reasonable occurred (the logic that the strong always dominate in the competition in this life). By taking a symbolic approach, here I use animals as objects, where a group of deer that cut off the lion head seems to have win a fight with the king’s forest.”
